Wikipedia - TNT Tropang Giga

The TNT Tropang Giga is a professional basketball team currently owned by Smart Communications, a subsidiary of the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT), playing in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) since 1990.

The franchise began in 1990 when Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines, Inc. (PCPPI) acquired a PBA franchise. Under PCPPI, the franchise played under the names Pepsi and 7 Up. In 1996, the franchise came under the control of Pilipino Telephone Corporation (Piltel) and played under the name Mobiline. In 2001, the franchise was renamed Talk 'N Text after the operations of Piltel was absorbed by Smart Communications.

The team is currently one of three PBA teams under the control of businessman Manuel V. Pangilinan – the others are the Meralco Bolts and NLEX Road Warriors. To date, the franchise has won nine official PBA titles (and one special PBA tournament championship), it also remains as one of the league's powerhouses and it is one of the oldest teams in PBA.

Talk N' Text, también conocido como TNT Tropang Giga, es un equipo de baloncesto profesional filipino con sede en Manila. El equipo es miembro de la Asociación de Baloncesto de Filipinas (PBA). Talk N' Text ha ganado 11 campeonatos de la PBA, el segundo mayor número de campeonatos de cualquier equipo de la liga.

El equipo fue fundado en 1990 por el empresario Manuel V. Pangilinan como un equipo satélite de Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdogs. Talk N' Text se convirtió en un equipo independiente en 1994. El equipo ha ganado campeonatos de la PBA en 1994, 1995, 1997, 2003, 2005, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015 y 2021.

Talk N' Text es conocido por su estilo de juego rápido y su habilidad para anotar desde el perímetro. El equipo ha tenido varios jugadores destacados a lo largo de los años, incluyendo a Alvin Patrimonio, Johnny Abarrientos, Jimmy Alapag, Asi Taulava, Ranidel de Ocampo, Jayson Castro y Terrence Romeo.

El equipo juega sus partidos en casa en el Smart Araneta Coliseum en Quezon City. Talk N' Text tiene una fuerte rivalidad con Barangay Ginebra San Miguel.
