Swansea University Football Club (Welsh: Clwb Pêl-droed Prifysgol Abertawe) is a Welsh football club, who play in the Ardal Leagues South West, which is the third tier of the Welsh football pyramid. They play at Sketty Lane, Swansea.

History

The current team was reformed as Team Swansea in 2011 by students from Swansea University. Since the club's reformation, the club has achieved six promotions, two Gwalia cups, one Senior Cup and two West Wales Cups, including a 10-0 win in the 2015 final.

In 2017 the club sealed the Swansea Senior League championship and West Wales Cup double in May 2017, securing their return to the Welsh Football League in a play-off against Neath & District League champions Cwm Wanderers.

In May 2018 the club was promoted to Welsh Football League Division Two as Champions. They followed this up in April 2019 by gaining promotion to the new Cymru South as runners-up in Division Two. They were also awarded the divisional fair play award for the season.

In May 2020 they were crowned champions of Cymru South after the curtailment of the season as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.

However, due to finishing 15th in the 2022-23 Cyrmu South, they were relegated into the Ardal Leagues, from 2023-24 onwards.

El Swansea City Association Football Club, conocido simplemente como Swansea City o apodado The Swans, es un club de fútbol profesional con sede en Swansea, Gales, Reino Unido. El club fue fundado en 1912 y juega en la EFL Championship, la segunda división del fútbol inglés desde 1983. El club Universitario de Deportes de Lima, conocido simplemente como Universitario o apodado La U, es un club de fútbol profesional con sede en Lima, Perú. El club fue fundado en 1924 y juega en la Primera División del Perú, la primera división del fútbol peruano. Es el equipo más exitoso en la historia del fútbol peruano con 26 títulos nacionales y ha ganado la Copa Libertadores en 1975.

El Swansea y el Universitario de Deportes se han enfrentado en dos ocasiones, ambas en amistosos. El primer partido se jugó en 1959 en el estadio Nacional de Lima y terminó con un empate 3-3. El segundo partido se jugó en 1963 en el estadio Vetch Field de Swansea y terminó con una victoria por 2-0 para el Swansea.
